In this short documentary “Isabelle: A Warrior Beyond and Within” we follow Isabelle Lacroix, a devoted mother and wife, as she navigates the ferocious world of MMA fighting while striving to achieve her dreams inside the octagon. Balancing family life with rigorous training, Isabelle talks about her journey of determination, strength, and the ongoing effort to succeed in a sport often dominated by men. Through intimate interviews and gripping fight footage, this documentary captures her struggles, triumphs, and the profound lessons she imparts to her community about hard work and perseverance, illustrating that true strength comes from the heart both in and out of the cage.

Shyra Joaquin is an editor with 12 years of experience in broadcast television. She has edited a few of the Philippines' popular television series, such as Los Bastardos, Bagani, and 2 Good 2 Be True.
Shyra discovered her love for editing after graduating from college and began her career at ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, where she honed her skills and built a passion for storytelling.
Moreover, she pursued Broadcasting: Television and Independent Production at Conestoga College, where she discovered her talent for videography and video production. In her final term, she completed a Capstone Project by editing and producing a documentary titled Isabelle: A Warrior Beyond and Within. The film won the Achievement in Editing award at the college's Media Awards and was showcased at the 2024 Kitchener-Waterloo Film Festival.
Shyra’s passion for storytelling has driven her to expand her expertise across a wide range of projects, taking on roles as both an editor and videographer. Her experience includes creating corporate videos, event coverage, short films, weddings, and more. Skilled in crafting both long- and short-form content, Shyra is adept at bringing any vision to life through precise editing, creative direction, and technical proficiency.
